Look: Palmer honored 57 years after U.S. Open win at Cherry HillstheScore
It was June 18, 1960 that Arnold Palmer produced one of the greatest comebacks in major championship history.
Palmer trailed Mike Souchak by seven shots entering the final round of the 1960 U.S. Open at Cherry Hills, but rallied to win the tournament with a 65. Palmer famously holed a five-foot putt on 18, then tossed his visor into the air in celebration.
A silhouette of that triumph is visible around Erin Hills Golf Club on Sunday.
